I swear that none of these are fictitious. All are 100% genuine promoted recipes.

A brief list of "uniquely bizarre" toppings found in Japan.

ASIDE:  A gentleman in San Diego wrote to inform me that his local pizzeria carries chicken livers as a pizza topping. Every so often, as treat for his cats, he will order a medium pizza with chicken livers and anchovies. He says that the cats mob him at the front door, smelling the scent of the pizza from the driveway.

Pizza rating system
- Outstanding and excellent.
A "you haven't lived until you try this," pizza. Everyone will love/ must try this!!
- A must try pizza. Very Nice.
- Could be recognized as pizza by most people. (note: Consumption of anything with less than 3 stars cannot be recommended by this author.)
- Barely serviceable as pizza. Use only in case of emergency.
- Horrible. DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!!!

ALL-STAR SEAFOOD - Domino's

Smoked salmon, green asparagus, shrimp, squid, green pepper, dried fish flakes, onion, extra-cheese.

BASILICO DEL MARE - Domino's

Scallop balls, mushroom, onion, roman tomato, extra cheese.
(Replace tomato sauce with green basil sauce. 
served on a thin & crispy Italian crust.)

If you can get past the initial fishy smell, this is actually quite nice. 
Unfortunately this recipe has been discontinued.

  
BASILICO DELUXE - Domino's

Egg plant, mushrooms, roman tomatoes, onion, crispy bacon, extra cheese.
(Replace tomato sauce with green basil sauce. served on a thin and crispy Italian crust.)

 GET'S - Pizza LA

Garlic Chunks, fresh mushrooms (triple), crushed tomatoes, bacon bits, sausage slices, pepperoni, shoulder bacon, corn, green peppers, parsley, black pepper, parmesan cheese. 

With so many toppings already on this pizza, if they offer you the choice of three extra bonus toppings, be sure to pass on the entire chicken HALVES! This pizza is just overkill.

IDAHO SPECIAL - PIZZA HUT
 
Potato chunks, sliced bacon, onion, corn, parsley, black olive, mayonnaise, double cheese.

What about french fries or chips? Don't laugh. It could work.
I mean carbs on carbs so why not? 

KARAMARI FRITTI - Pizza Hut

squid, green peppers, red peppers, onion, black olives, green chili sauce, double cheese.

  Trust me, it looks better than it tastes.

Kimchi Bacon - Tanto Pizza Co.

Kimchi (fermented, killer-spicey cabbage from korea), bacon, nila, double cheese. I guess you need double cheese to mask the flavor of the kimuchi. 

This looks just about the same as it tastes.

Mayo Jaga - Domino's

Mayonnaise, potato, green peppers, onion, CORN, crispy bacon, extra cheese.

It claims to be a "best seller."

MEGA MEAT - Pizza LA

Triple pepperoni, pepper ham, Italian sausage bits, sausage slices, fresh mushrooms, garlic chunks, onion, green peppers, basil, black pepper. "It has a mega-ton of wonderful flavor from it's mixture of meats. 

"It's the favorite of Godzilla ! ! ! 

NASU SHIMEJI - Domino's

Sliced eggplant, whole long stemmed Japanese mushrooms, Italian sausage, bacon, onion.

POTATO HUMBERG - TANTO PIZZA Co.

Chunks of ground beef, crushed potato (read - tater tots), onion, corn, green pepper,
AND meat sauce. 

I think they meant to call this Potato Hamburg.

Sea Food Special - Pizza Hut

Squid, shrimp, tuna, broccoli, onion, mayonnaise, double cheese.

For me the squid is just too much. DO NOT store this in the fridge. Throw all un-used portions away in a fast and forthright manner lest you be overcome by the strong fishy smell..

Strawberry Mix -Strawberry Cones (this is the name of the place that makes it)
 
Tarako (Cod roe), ika (squid), pepperoni, mushrooms, asparagus.
We are talking about pizza, aren't we? If I could give rating of less than 1, I would.

Tapuri (a whole mess of) Corn - Strawberry Cones

Corn, sweet corn, white corn, (and what a surprise) more CORN ! !
This pizza would be very popular in Nebraska and Iowa ! !
