Japanese PIZZA Page

I love pizza.

But nothing I had ever experienced came close to preparing me for PIZZA in JAPAN. They do evil, nasty things to pizzas over here. Oh sure, P.H. and Dominoes are capable of making pies like back home. The traditional combinations even taste exactly the same. But sometimes, the crust is the only thing you can recognize. Sometimes there are things present that God never intended to sit atop a pizza pie. Especially if you get one of their special combos from the twilight zone.
For example; can you imagine broccoli on a pizza? How about squid? Or Eel? Or Kimuchi (Korean fermented Pepper Cabbage salad)? Well, that is what you will find here: the strangest topping combinations in the world. Yes, pizza from the dark side. Please note that we are not talking about Japanese pizza, known as okonomiyaki, but "regular" North American pizza.

Monday Night Football Special Plain Pizza with Spicy Beef Bits, Mushrooms, Black Olives, and Onions.

Special CUT ! Order a plain Dominoes pizza, beef topping, black olives, regular or double cheese, and this is the important part NO TOMATO sauce. I know this sounds mental, but please give it a try. The first time we ordered this one the guys at Dominoes were sure it was a prank call. But they called back to verify that we were indeed serious and we got out pizza 30 minutes later. If you try this, you will likely get the same reaction, but stick with it. It is fabulous!!! Credit for inventing this delicacy goes to Tim Spahr, a friend who now lives in Maine. Variation While you are waiting for the pizza, heat up some spaghetti sauce. When the pizza arrives, use the sauce for dipping. Just make sure that you try at least one piece sans sauce. It is the closest thing to a "Your Place" stomboli you can find. You can even add mustard.

Triple OOOvertime Order a plain pizza, with Onions, black Olives and green Olives. Very nice.
